Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the use of computer science to develop machine that can be trained to learn, reason, communicate, and make human-like decisions. AI is revolutionizing and strengthening modern healthcare through the technologies that can predict, grasp, learn and act, whether it is employed to identify new relationships between genetic codes or to control surgery-assisted robots. The present study was conducted to assess the VATM on knowledge regarding AI in Healthcare among Nursing Aspirants at selected Nursing Colleges, Kanpur, UP. 60 samples were selected by using Non-probability convenience sampling technique and the data was collected by using self-structured knowledge questionnaire. The data was collected and analysed based on descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study showed that in the pre-test knowledge score 27 (45.00%) had inadequate knowledge, 26 (43.33%) had moderate knowledge, 07 (11.67%) had adequate knowledge and in the post-test knowledge score 08 (13.33%) had inadequate knowledge, 28 (46.67%) had moderate knowledge and 24 (40.00%) had adequate knowledge. The post-test mean score (14.35) was high when compared to the pre-test mean score (10.98). The obtained “t” value 14.53 was greater than the value of df 59 which was significant at p<0.05 level. There was difference between pre-test and post-test of level of knowledge hence the formulated research hypothesis H1 was accepted. The test revealed that there was a significance association of knowledge with all selected socio-demographic variables such as age in years, gender, religion, year of course, previous knowledge and source of information at p<0.05 level of significance. The study concluded that the VATM was effective and improved knowledge regarding AI in Healthcare among Nursing Aspirants.
