Abstract
Serchhip district, Mizoram is rich in bamboo diversity. The inhabitant’s knowledge on traditional use and ethnobotanical use serves as a significant implication on the commercialization and conservation of resources. The findings of the study with 8 species having significant ethnobotanical uses and diversity exhibit the potential commercially and will enhance the traditional knowledge. The Mizo tribe has a deep association with bamboos, which are an integral part of the culture, tradition, and daily life which reveals that bamboos are closely associated with the Mizo tribe of Serchhip District.
